McMurray Métis has released its 2014-15 Annual Report and audited financial statements. Both documents are available at the following links:

The McMurray Métis Annual Report contains updates on activities throughout the previous fiscal year (April 1, 2014, through March 31, 2015) and audited financial statements. The audit was completed by Collins Barrow Edmonton LLP, Chartered Accountants.

We're pleased the Auditor has once again found our finances to be well managed.” stated General Manager Kyle Harrietha.

McMurray Métis President Gail Gallupe stated, “Our Annual Report summarizes what was an incredibly busy year as we continue to work hard to strive for the betterment of our community. I'm especially heartened by the increasing collaboration and cooperation with our Wood Buffalo Métis neighbours in Fort Chipewyan, Fort McKay, and Conklin as we work together to assert and defend Métis rights and promote economic opportunities.”

McMurray Métis Vice-President Bill Loutitt added, “With the election of a new Alberta Government, we'll continue to call on Alberta to recognize Fort McMurray as a historic and contemporary Métis community, to finally move forward with the development of a Métis Consultation Policy, and to ensure the appropriate level of financial support for regional stakeholder organizations."
